League of Women Designers PDX: COVID + the Built Environment

October 21, 2020

League of Women Designers PDX hosted a casual lunchtime conversation addressing how Covid has affected our built environment. We hosted a panel discussion led by LWD members and guests Arielle Weedman and Hannah Silver on designing safe workspaces, the lasting effects of the pandemic on office design and the future of designed public spaces. We also discussed how designers have pivoted their design practices for this new need and how we have redefined our relationship with our physical personal space and spaces we inhabit during this time.

League of Women Designers PDX is open to all women practicing in the professional design field. This may include but is not limited to:

Architecture, interior design, industrial design, graphic design, design education, fashion design, design/build, experience design, brand design, design fabrication, and art practitioners who feel their work or process connects with the design process.

Portland Chapter (LWD PDX // LWD Portland) meets monthly and holds 1-2 public events throughout the year but due to Covid we are currently only doing virtual programming.
